Mt. Hope Horse Rescue, Inc. (formerly Mt. Hope Stables & Rescue, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) Tax Deductible Non-Profit organization, dedicated to the well-being and enjoyment of horses.  Our facility is located in a peaceful and idyllic setting in northern Lancaster County, PA. To date, we have rescued over 30 horses who were abused, neglected, or from the slaughter auction. For being a small facility with only 8 stalls, we are extremely proud of our success and eternally grateful for the wonderful volunteers who have helped to care for these rescued horses.

Once we have evaluated, rehabilitated, and trained our horses we are able to put them up for adoption.  All of our horses and potential adopters are thoroughly evaluated to aid in the best possible match for horse and rider. A successful partnership creates a bond of trust and friendship for both the horse and its rider, and it is our goal to find that match for every horse we save.
